Itinerary: 

Day 01: Kathmandu to Shyabru Besi

Taking local bus early in the morning or a private four wheel drive journey from Kathmandu reaches Shyabru Besi, gateway to the Langtang valley at the confluence of the Bhote Khosi and Langtang Rivers. Mesmerizing scenic driving and passing through Trisuli Bazaar, Ramche Gaon and Dhunche Bazaar makes you scenic driving. Narrow and bit adventurous zig zags road but amazing landscape along the way driving will make you good start day drive of the trek.  

Day 02: Shyabru Besi to Gatlang

A dirt track Zig-Zags to the west up to Bahun Danda pass and then down to the Tamang settlement of Gotlang, a cornerstone village on the Tamang Heritage Trail or hike to Gotlang by way of Chawater. Gotlang is a Tamang village with unique customs and craftsmanship in a magnificent setting.

Day 03: Gatlang to Somdang (3271m)

The trail ascends through pine and rhododendron forest to a lunch point of Yuri Kharka before continuing to Khurpu Bhanjying and then dropping down to the Somdang River, border between Rasuwa and Dhading districts. The hike passes through a scenic valley featuring the 200m Chukarma Waterfall. We stay overnight at Somdang.

Day 04: Somdang to Pangsang pass (3842m)

After breakfast trek gently uphill passing through beautiful jungle and mesmerizing surrounding landscapes including Langtang ranges mountain views and finally in the mid day you arrive at this area’s best view point named Pangsang Kharka. It is a viewpoint southwest of Somdang village with a broad panorama of the surrounding terrain. We can see Manaslu, Ganesh Himal range.

Day 05: Pangsang Pass to Shertung (1875m)

On this day we descend to Tipling, a large village that hosts two Buddist gombas and both a protestant and Catholic church. Along a ridge top to the east is a gomba and cremation ground for both buddists and Christians lined with colorful flags. We walk through Tamang villege to see their Cultural dance. Spectacular mountain views of Lapsang Karpo, Ganesh Himal as well as Ganesh II and III can be seen from this village.

Day 06: Visit Hot Springs and Trek back Chalish Gaon (1674m)

After breakfast, trek down to Chalish village taking 30 minutes walk and trek to Tatopani (Hot springs). Enjoy half a day taking bath with one of the best hot spring of this region. After enjoying it, return back to Chalish village. Chalish is inhabited primarily by Gurung, Ghale and Dalit. They are welcomed by their own dance to make fun for tourist. Most of the youngsters participate in tourism, they work as a trek guide, porter etc.  

Day 07: Chalish gaon to Jharlang (3000m)

After breakfast trek to Mani Danda-30 minutes walk from where we will see the breath taking Ganesh himal mountain views and a stone house through entire Chalish Village views on the back. Trek continue passing Deul danda, Gobre Village, Chhapdanda and Bhandari Bhir where rock climbing possibility has been found. We walking through Borang Village and we stops for lunch in Ukhum then we walk Lishne Jungle and finally get to Jhalang.

Day 08: Jharlang Gaun to Dharkha Gaon (850m)

After breakfast treks most of the way down hill to Jharlang Phedi walking two and half an hour passing paddy terraces and surrounding landscapes. Today from Ungul, we may straight trek down to Jharlang Phedi or crpss Jharlang biggest landslide and trek to other part of Jharlang phedi named Percho. The village is mix culture village of Brahmin people and Tamang people as well as Dalit.

Day 09: Darkha gaun-Darkha Phedi to Dhading Besi – kathmandu

After breakfast trek all the way down to Darkha Phedi Taking 45 minutes downhill walk and then take sharing local jeep with other people finally arrive in Dhading Besi after 3-4 hours rough and tough zig-zags road drive. From dhading Besi change another pubic bus and drive back to Kathmandu.
