OVERVIEW
Introduction
Mardi Himal trek is a short trek that takes you to the tropical side of Nepal taking you through the mesmerizing trek trail of the western Annapurna region of Nepal. Mardi Himal is located at the east of Modi Khola across the valley of Himchuli. This trek covers one of the breathtaking and stunning views of glacial valleys and landscapes of the Annapurna region. The trail leads you to the adventurous off the beaten track you will be trekking on taking you out of the comfort zone away from the busy and noisy areas. If you will be trekking to Mardi Himal, you will not miss the iconic view of completely soaked snow-capped mountains. This trek offers you a marvelous view of various mountain peaks like Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Machhapuchre (Fishtail), etc. Mardi Himal trek is a once in a lifetime experience along with exciting experience waiting for you. You will be picturing tremendous experience with a warm welcome by local people around those areas and their hospitality. You will trek into the deep nature; into the thick forest where local folks will be residing.
Mardi Himal trek is a trek to a quieter place where you can escape city noises and feel the fresh village air. It is the lowest as well as least visited trekking peaks in Nepal. Thus, this trek is known as Eco-Tourism as it crosses through Rhododendron forest and other various varieties of vegetation. This trek was officially opened in 2012 and since then, it has been operating slowly and gradually. You will be capturing the view of small teahouses serving you with basic facilities. This trek is a short, easy, and unspoiled trek you will be grasping. You will also be seeing typical Nepali Gurung and Magar cultures and tradition, beautifully dense forest, alpine landscapes, and elegant scenarios. Mardi Himal trek is going to be a 5-day trek which is short for you to spend any vacation.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Pokhara to Kande and trek to Deurali (2125m)
You will be taking a flight to Pokhara. It will take around 25-30 minutes to reach there. After you reach Pokhara, you will need to drive around 1 hour to reach Kande driving through the Pokhara Baglung highway where you will reach the starting point of your trek. You will pass through green hills to reach Kande.after you cross the rhododendron forest, the path will lead you to Deurali. Deurali resides along the Modi Khola wedged between Annapurna from the south and Mardi Himal. You will be crossing many villages on your way to reach Deurali. You will have your dinner at a lodge at Deurali and overnight stay as well. -
Day 2: Trek to low camp (3150m)
You will wake up early morning viewing an astounding view of sunrise and have a light breakfast at the lodge. You're destination id Low camp while you will be walking for 3 hours. You will be walking from grassland with the great view of Mt Fishtail and Mardi Himal which seems nearer as you ascend. You will have to go through forest camp where you may spot Himalayan Thar, musk deer, snow leopard, etc. not only wildlife species but you will be seeing various vegetation around those areas. You will have your lunch at the forest camp. After you reach Low Camp, there are lodges where you will have your dinner and stay overnight. -
Day 3: Trek to High Camp (3700m)
You will have a hearty breakfast in the lodge and ascent towards High Camp. You will be walking for 4 to 5 hours continuously along the ridge of Mardi Himal. You will be seeing an extremely amazing view of imposing Mardi Himal and Machhapuchre. You will arrive at Middle Camp after climbing the Rhododendron forest for 1.5 hours. Eventually, you will reach High Camp with a heartwarming experience. High Camp offers a perfect viewpoint for dazzling mountains where there are 3-4 lodges or guesthouses. You will have your dinner and spend your night at the guest house. -
Day 4: Trek to Mardi Base Camp (4500m)
Mardi base Camp will be the highest elevation you will be reaching for this trek. After having your breakfast, you will head towards your last destination, Mardi Base Camp. It will take 5 hours for you to reach Mardi Base Camp. At the base camp, you will be appreciating the exotic view of the Natural environment, impressing flora, and snow-capped mountains. You will have enough time to explore Mardi Base camp, click pictures, and capture beautiful memories. After then, you will eventually lunge back to Siding. It takes 4 hours and of course, the trail is quite steep and dangerous. You will spend your night at Siding. -
Day 5: Drive back to Pokhara
Day 5th will be the end day of your trekking journey. You will drive back to Pokhara by bus which will take you about 3 to 4 hours. You will be dropped at your hotel and after that, you can customize on how to spend the rest of your time until your departure to your homeland.
