OVERVIEW

The Shivapuri Loop bicycle tour combines cultural and environmental elements from Nepal. The beauty of lush forests, monasteries with prayer flags, wildlife, birds, and vegetation will soothe your soul during this journey.

The Shivapuri Loop Cycle Tour is one of the most popular walks in Kathmandu (north of the city’s center) for nature enthusiasts. It is the second tallest hill in the Kathmandu valley, after Phulchowki. The hike will take you on a tour through the beauty of nature.

With mild hills, an abundance of greenery and farms, ancient temples, and small traditional villages, the outskirts of Kathmandu are a cyclist’s heaven. On a full-day bike excursion, avoid getting lost before you’ve even left the city’s traffic. On clear days, this guided cycle takes you through the Shivapuri National Park, which is located north of the city and offers excellent views of the Himalayas.

Your knowledgeable guide will lead you on a safe journey out of Kathmandu. Choose from a variety of routes based on your skill and experience. Enjoy the natural splendor as well as a variety of interesting temples and cultural landmarks. Bike the jeep lanes and trails through Kathmandu, riding through the rainforest and on a single track provides technical obstacles. Moreover, you can also enjoy villagers from the ethnic groupings of the Newar and Tamang. See the sleeping image of the Hindu hidden god Bishnu at Budhanilkantha in the journey.

Our day begins with a hearty breakfast before heading to Budhanilkantha, a little village 6 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu, for a mountain bike trip. Here you’ll discover a fascinating legend concerning the valley’s origins. You’ll also get to see the sleeping Bishnu Temple and take in the breathtaking views of the valley.

After that, we continue the cycling to Shivapuri National Park, where we see an ancient site on a ridge northwest of the valley. We’ll ride through the ancient town’s small alleyways, passing by antique shrines, temples, and traditional residences typical of the region. You’ll also get a glimpse of the locals’ traditional way of life and enjoy some of their specialties.

The climate of Shivapuri is similar to that of Kathmandu. It makes no difference whether it’s raining or not; what matters is whether it’s raining or not. The woods path and stone-paved walkway become muddy and hazardous during rainy seasons. It doesn’t matter if it’s cloudy or not because there are no mountain vistas. Therefore, the best season for the Shivpuri Loop bicycle tour is Spring and Autumn.
