OVERVIEW
World Peace stupa, is located 10kms southwest of downtown Pokhara at an elevation above 1000 meters above sea level. The splendid white stupa situated on a hilltop of Anadu hill overlooking the Annapurnas reflecting on the lakes down is a top destination among national and international tourists. The pagoda, built by Nipponzan Myohoji in 1973 under the Master plan of Mr. Nichidatsu Fujii, establishing World Peace stupas around the world to symbolize World peace. The pagoda was the first Peace Pagoda built in Nepal. The Pagoda is 115 feet tall and 344 feet in diameter.
The Pagoda has two decks, one for tourists and the other for pilgrims to circumambulate. The second deck displays four Buddha statues gifted by international communities i.e. ‘Dharmacakra Mudra’ from Japan, ‘Bodh Gaya’ from Sri Lanka, ‘Kushinagar’ from Thailand and ‘Lumbini‘ from Nepal. Situated on a hilltop, the views are clear and spectacular. One can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset from here.
ITINERARY

08.00hrs: Pickup from the hotel to Lakeside.
The driver will pick you from the hotel and we’ll meet our guide at the Lakeside. -
08.30hrs: Hike from Lakeside to Peace stupa.
From here, we’ll hike till the Peace stupa. It is 10 kilometers away from the top and will take about an hour and a half. -
10.00hrs: Arrive the Stupa and explore around.
The peace stupa situated at the top of Anadu hill offers Aerial view of the Valley and lakes. The view of Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri ranges are breathtaking. The monument is prestigious as it is the first Peace pagoda in Nepal and is one among 80 such peace pagodas in the world. -
11.00hrs: Descend back to Lakeside and drive back to the hotel for Lunch.
After observing the views and visiting the stupa, we’ll descend down to Lakeside and drive back to our hotel for Lunch.
