OVERVIEW
Introduction:
Badimalika Trek leads you to the green land of the Far-Western region of Nepal. One can explore the Far-Western cultures and lifestyles during the trek. The route offers you with a glimpse of mountains. You can enjoy the landscapes, waterfalls, and murmuring streams on the way. Badimalika trekking route is one of the newest trekking route explored by the trekking agencies. This route is not so popular in comparison to other trekking routes of Nepal.
The main attraction of this trek is the Badimalika temple which has religious significance for Nepalese. Continuing the trail, you will get to visit many holy places of the Far-Western region like Triveni river, Nateshwori temple, and Silgadhi temple. Far-western region is mainly famous for the religious sites and cultures. Another highlight of this trek is the deuda dance, you will see villagers performing deuda dance around the Natyashwori temple. The routes we will pass through are full of greenery and forest which includes beautiful floras and faunas. One can enjoy the night at the side of the famous Dhawalpur Lake.
The trail will also pass through Bajura which is rich in cultures and traditions. Here you will get to see a few more types of cultural dances like Hadkeuli, Bhuwo, and Thadi dance. Every step to the journey will be beautiful and thrilling. One can enjoy the beauty of nature and get to interact with the local villagers and see new cultures. The trek to Badimalika will add great memory to your trekking diary. The routes are not so difficult and not so populated so one can peacefully enjoy the journey. This trek offers you one of the best landscapes of Nepal.
ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After you arrive in TIA, our representative will be waiting for you to guide through the streets of Kathmandu and reach to your selected hotel. In the evening you can roam the local areas nearby the hotel and the heritages nearby. You can go through the maps and outlines of the trip at the night. We will also be providing you the orientation for the trek in the afternoon. -
Day 2: Flight from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi (800m) and drive to Dadeldhura (2000m)
Commencing the journey, we will take a flight of an hour to Dhangadhi viewing the plain agricultural lands down. After landing in Dhangadhi we will take four hours of drive to Dadeldhura. In Dadeldhura you will have so much to explore unique traditions and cultures. We will also visit popular historical places like Amargadhi Fort and Alital. We will spend our night in Dadeldhura enjoying the local foods and services. -
Day 3: Drive from Dadeldhura to Jaganga via Sanfe of Achham
After having breakfast, we will take a drive of four hours to Sanfe which is a beautiful town. We will have our lunch here and again drive for three hours and reach Jaganga village. We can see the beautiful views as we head towards Jaganga village along with the Budhi Gandaki river. We will spend our night in a lodge in the village. -
Day 4: Trek from Jaganga village to Budha Krodh (2700m)
Today we will commence our trek following the trail fill of beautiful landscapes. We will walk for three hours to reach Krodh village. On the way, you will pass through the forest that is home of floras and faunas, the trail also passes through small streams. We will stay overnight in the local tea house in krodh village. -
Day 5: Trek from Budha Krodh to Bhito (3800m)
After having breakfast, we will continue the trail. The route today mainly consists of buffalo sheds from where you can buy fresh milk items. We will walk through dense forest and the path will get steeper and we will reach Bhito. Tonight we will stand a camp to sleep and have dinner around a local place. -
Day 6: Trek from Bhito to Badimalika temple (3870m)
We will continue our trail seeing the beautiful grasslands, waterfalls, and small streams. We will hike for around five hours to reach Triveni which has a religious significance. Many pilgrims visit here mainly at the time of Janai Purnima in the month of August. We can visit the Badimalika temple after visiting the Triveni river. We will spend our night in a camp here. -
Day 7: Trek from Badimalika temple to Khetibeti
When you will walk out of your tent in the morning, you will see many pilgrims taking baths in the triveni river because it is said that it is a holy river and washes away your sins. Continuing the trail, we will walk an hour and reach Khetibeti. From here, you can see the Badimalika hill. We will spend our night in a local tea house. -
Day 8: Trek from Khetibeti to Dhawalpur Lake (2556m)
After having breakfast we will continue the trail, we will have a mesmerizing view of Mount Apo and Mount Saipal on the way. Today the hike will be a bit tough but when you will reach the Dhawalpur Lake, you will feel the worth. Our night will be at the lakeside. -
Day 9: Trek from Dhawalpur Lake to Lamagadh
Leaving Dhawalpura lake we will head towards Lamagadh. After an hour of walk, you will see Natyashwori temple. It is said that if you have visited the Badimalika temple then you should also visit here. You will see people performing Deuda dance (traditional dance of the far-western region) around the temple. Walking for an hour we will reach Lamagadh and overnight in homestay. -
Day 10: Trek from Lamagadh to Silgadhi
After an early breakfast, we will continue the walk. On the way, you will see Malgadhanriver. The route is full of nature and beauty so many local visitors also roam at this place. After an hour we will reach Mourya and have lunch. We will then head towards Silgadhi for the night which is a bit ahead from Mourya. -
Day 11: Descend to Mahendranagar
In the morning before we begin our trail, you can visit Shaileshwori temple which is half an hour’s drive from Silgadhi. After that, we will head for Dadeldhura, have lunch there and again continue the walk to Mahendranagar. We will stay in a hotel in Mahendranagar for night. -
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu
After having breakfast, we will take a flight to Kathmandu. As you land in Kathmandu, our representative will drop you at your hotel and you can rest your day with a warm bath and good food. -
Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu
Our representative will help you reach to TIA by arranging you a farewell lunch in a typical Nepali style and help you at the airport to fly you back to your place. In case you want further trips to Nepal, you can inform us, we will arrange it for you as per your comfort.
