OVERVIEW
Introduction
Basa village is a scenic place that lies in the northeastern part of Nepal in the SoluKhumbu district of the Sagarmatha zone. This prepossessing village trek is one of the easy, convenient, and freshly opened trekking routes for all kinds of travelers seeking smooth trekking without any altitude sickness problems.
Walking through the basa village one can find the pleasure around the diversity of flora and fauna, a huge number of vegetation, amazing pine forest, rhododendron, bamboo, also enjoying the sight of alpine flowers and wildlife like deer, tiger and various species of birds.march and April month would be the best time to enjoy the blooming forest. and in autumn (September-February)would be a great time to be here, summer is not much favored due to heavy rainfalls.
Exploring the culture of sherpas and rai communities and their practices of Buddhism religion. There are also monasteries that architecturally resemble the community in a very different and classic style and the place carries a lot of history towards the trail to Everest. We can also enjoy the regional cuisine made from the organic vegetables and locally made dairy products milk, cheese, ghee, and butter along with the protein from local chicken, goats, sheep, and many more.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After your arrival in TIA, our representative will be waiting for you to guide through the streets of Kathmandu and reach your selected hotel. In the evening you can roam the local areas nearby the hotel and the heritages nearby. You can go through the maps and outlines of the trip at night. -
Day 2: Drive to Nele Bazaar-10 hrs
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and commence the journey with a 10-hour drive to Nele Bazaar. We will pass through many villages and the path is alongside the river. On the way to Nele, there is a place called Patale which gives a clear view of Mt Everest. Nele village is a small market for the locals. This village has most of the people from the Chhetri community. Overnight in the hotel at Nele Bazaar. -
Day 3: Trek from Nele Bazaar to Kanku Village-5 hrs
After having breakfast, we will begin our trek. To reach Kanku village we will have to walk for 5 hours. Our path passes through the jungle and several Rai and Tamang villages. You will mostly find the Rai community people in Kanku. Here people mainly grow fruits like mangoes, pineapple, lemon, oranges, etc. you will get to see the Mongolian culture here. Overnight in Kanku Village. -
Day 4: Trek from Kanku village to Basa village- 6 hr
Leaving Kanku village, we will hike towards Basa village. We will pass through many villages, you will enjoy seeing the lifestyles variety of different villages. On the way, you will mainly see Rai villages but in Basa village, there live the people of the Chhetri community. Mainly people here wear their traditional dresses on the day to day interval. The village is independent of the daily needs as they grow on their own. Overnight in Basa village. -
Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Basa village
Enjoy the day exploring Basa village. After having breakfast, we will take a walk in the village seeing their local lifestyle. We will have a traditional lunch in the village. You will get to see the handmade clothes and equipment by the villagers. Interacting with the villagers, you will get to know much about the tradition. We will spend the night in a guest house in Basa village. -
Day 6: Trek from Basa village to Thulodhunga- 4 hrs
Leaving Basa village we will hike towards Thulodhunga. Our route passes through the village full of pine and rhododendron forests. This place is inhabited by Magar, Rai, and a few Dalit people. You will enjoy its unique culture. Overnight in the guest house at Thulodhunga. -
Day 7: Trek from Thulodhunga to Nunthala- 4 hrs
After having morning breakfast, we will head towards Nunthala. We will be walking around 4 hours to reach Nunthala. Our route passes through mountains and jungle as well as a few villages. You will reach Sherpa village of Babu Chhiri Sherpa who Climbed Mt. Everest without oxygen. This village amazes you with a beautiful view of the mountains. Overnight in Nunthala. -
Day 8: Trek from Nunthala to Takasindu- 4 hrs
We will hike towards Takasindu walking for 4 hours. You will see a flattering view of mountains and hills from Taksindu danda. The route passes through the forest and is a bit steeper. Overnight in a lodge at Takasindu. -
Day 9: Trek from Takasindu to Phaplu
Continuing the trail we will head towards Phaplu which is about 4 hours of walk. The path is flat and passes through the jungle. We will have a walk with natural beauty and views around us. Overnight in Phaplu with a trek ending dinner. -
Day 10: Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu (or a flight)
We will return to Kathmandu after breakfast. You can choose either the flight of 35 minutes or a drive of 10 hours. After reaching Kathmandu our representative will drop you at your hotel and you can enjoy your rest of the day resting or sightseeing the valley. -
Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu
Our representative will help you reach TIA by arranging you a farewell lunch in a typical Nepali style and help you at the airport to fly you back to your place. In case you want further trips to Nepal, you can inform us, we will arrange it for you as per your comfort.
