Located aside from the southwestern part of Pokhara (a paradise city of Nepal), Sirubari is a beautiful village of the Syangja district. It holds the inhabitants of Gurung settlement, and lies at an altitude of about 1760 meters; hence, you should not worry about altitude sickness! Friendly and cheerful behavior of the inhabitants, the climate of this ethnic village too is nice and pleasant throughout the year you will feel home away from home. You can spend your holidays here anytime you prefer. Also, you will find a warm welcome and hospitality from the locals, the Sirubari village has a grand view of the Himalayas like Mt Manaslu, Dhaulagiri range  Mt Macchapucchare and Annapurna range in and many more can also be seen. The ever-green hills and the beauty of this place will give you the essence of your absolute freedom in nature and provide you the best-known experience to collect with nature. After you arrive in Kathmandu, Kathmandu presents you a very enlightening sightseeing tour which allows you to explore the popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the capital city such as Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Taking trekkers away from the hectic busy city life, our 10-day Sirubari Trek starts with a 7-hour long drive to Pokhara from the capital Kathmandu city. Enjoying the spectacular Mountain View along with the heart-captivating Fewa Lake during your stay in Pokhara. Also, a local bus takes about 6 hours to reach the Sirubari village from Pokhara so it’s preferable to choose a private jeep if you like to save time on the road. While spending days in Sirubari village we will get to discover the exotic rural lifestyle of the indigenous people who traditionally and historically have lived here for many years preserving their culture. Here you can taste the locally cooked and prepared cuisines and learn about their cultural practices and norms. This trek is perfect for travelers who have a short time in their hands to explore the culturally enriched trekking routes. The whole year you are welcomed whole heartily but we suggest spring and Autumn seasons are the top finest seasons for trekking to Sirubari village.

ITINERARY

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

    As soon as you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport(TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel. After some refreshments, you will be given a piece of brief information about the Sirubari Homestay Tour. You can enjoy the typical Nepali food in the restaurant anywhere in Kathmandu.
  • Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu (The City of Temples)

    Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal. It consists of the famous Durbar, Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath and other monuments expressing the excellence of Nepalese art and culture from ancient history. There are so many places to visit in Kathmandu that one day is not quite enough. But we will make sure that you don’t miss the important destination.
  • Day 3: Drive To Pokhara From Kathmandu (200km,6-7 hrs)

    early in the morning we will have our breakfast and move to our new destination. Today you have two options: you can either take a 35 min flight to Pokhara or take a drive from Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, it would take about 6-7 hours’ drive. If times are in favor and we reach our destination early we will be able to roam through the paradise-like the city of Pokhara. You could dare yourself to spend a pleasant time boating on the pristine Fewa Tal where the pretty reflection of the Mt. Macchapucchare on its water surface.
  • Day 4: Drive towards Arjunchaupari and Trekking to Sirubari Village

    early in the morning we will have our breakfast and move from Pokhara. We will drive to Arjunchaupari and then begin a light trek to Sirubari village, which takes about 4 hours. We will ascend up to the beautiful Gurung settlement. As soon as you arrive at the Sirubari village, the community representative will assign you a home. The local houses at Sirubari village are all engineered with local raw materials, but provide you a comfortable stay. You can spend the day knowing your host family (can exchange the culture and lifestyle) and enjoying the cultural programs held in the evening by those communities.
  • Day 5: A Leisure Day at Sirubari Village

    Our second day at Sirubari Village, we will have a great opportunity to explore the local area and surrounding villages. After having our breakfast we will start our day. Today we can also enjoy the company of your host family. In the evening enjoy the cultural programs.
  • Day 6: A Short Climb to Dahare Hill

    Our third day of our homestay at Sirubari village, we will take a short climb to Dahare Hill, considered as the highest point of Pokhara, after having our breakfast. As this part is considered as the highest viewpoint, we can shoot grand pictures of the Himalayas, from the Mt. Manaslu in the east to the Dhaulagiri range with Mt Macchapucchare and Annapurna range in between which will last forever as the memory.
  • Day 7: Back to Pokhara

    Time to say see you soon to our host family, and return to Pokhara, we will start our trip with a light breakfast. Reaching Pokhara we can tour the beautiful city by boat for a while in Fewa lake. It is considered as a beautiful lake with a peaceful environment.
  • Day 8: Return to Kathmandu.

    After having our breakfast we will head back to Kathmandu taking beautiful memories of our Sirubari Village Homestay Trekking program. Hope to meet you in the near future.
