OVERVIEW

INTRODUCTION

Nestled in the hidden miracle valley of Mustang and Manang valley of the western region of Nepal the Kangla Pass 5320m trek is the very famous trekking destination that has been loved by many trekkers for its magnificent and lucrative natural beauty and astounding view of great Tilicho Lake, and majestic panoramic view of the Himalayas like Annapurna range 7555m, Himlung Himal 7126m, Saribung peak 6345m, Gangapurna 7455m, Tilicho peak 7134m, and Mt. Manaslu 8165m.

The trek includes the two passes the Kangla Pass and the Mesokanto La Pass 5121m. These passes are the trail that leads to the lake which is situated at the highest altitude in the world, the Tilicho Lake 4920m. Tilicho Lake is the focal point of the Kang La Pass trek. It can well explore from the Tilicho Base Camp. The spectacular view from the top of the calmed hidden valley of miracle, Mustang valley, Jomsom 2743m can be seen from the Mesokanto La pass. It also offers the view of the Kaligandaki River, giant Dhaulagiri 8167m, Nilgiri Mountain, and Dampus Peak which are mesmerizing and unforgettable. The trek passes to the Kaligandaki Gorge which is also known as the deepest gorge which is located between the two massive mountains Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

The beautiful Manag village comes along the way to the Kang La pass. The village is the renowned destination also known as the Trekker’s Town for the trekkers in the Annapurna circuit 5416m. It is the highest pass in the world. The HRA office and the mountaineering training school of NMA are also located here.

The trek encompasses of the incredible Nar and Phu valley. The Nar Phu valley is the ancient valley in the Manang district which is the epitome of the ancient culture of Tibetan culture. The extraordinary valley is the Living Museum where you can explore the beautiful culture of rural Nepal which presents a diverse ethnicity. The exquisite ancient historical Buddhist monasteries and fluttering prayer flags are delightful to watch. The Phu valley is the main point where the three passes are combined. The three passes Teri La, Saribung from upper mustang, and the Kang La pass from Manang is the junction.

ITINERARY

  • DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT KATHMANDU

    Upon your arrival, our team representative will welcome you at the airport. Our team representative will then escort to your hotel. You can have the day to yourself. You can rest or you can also explore the local area. One of our team representatives will brief you about the trek. Overnight you will stay in a hotel.
  • DAY 2: DRIVE FROM KATHMANDU TO BESISAHAR

    Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar will take almost six hours. It is the starting point of the trek. You will have the chance to explore the beautiful Besisahar. You will stay overnight in Besisahar.
  • DAY 3: TREK FROM BESISAHAR TO BAHUNDANDA

    Trek from Besi Sahar to bahundanda is the five-hour-long trek. The trekking trail takes you to the gorgeous view of the Bahundanda. The trail passes through the up and down of the valley. You will enjoy a peaceful nature walk. You will stay overnight in Bahundanda.
  • DAY 4: TREK FROM BAHUNDANDA TO CHYAMCHE

    Next, you will trek from Bahundanda to Chyamche. It is a six-hour trek. You will witness the architecture, cultural, and religious changes clearly from here. You will be passing through the sub-tropical vegetation of Firs and Pines. Alluring Chyamche's waterfall in Chaymche is a sight to behold. Chyamche is also the alternative starting point for the Annapurna Circuit Trek. You will stay overnight in Chyamche.
  • DAY 5: TREK FROM CHYAMCHE TO PISANG

    Trek from Chyamche to Pisang takes four hours. Pisang has very warm Hospitality and people there will make you feel like home. The culture and religion of Gurung and Manangi are very fascinating. Pisang is one of the best places to enjoy the beauty of Nepal, the scenes of the Majestic Mountain, culture, and generosity of the locals. You can also enjoy the ravishing waterfall falling to the Marshyangdi River. You will stay overnight in Pisang.
  • DAY 6: TREK FROM PISANG TO MANANG

    Trek from Pisang to Manang is a four-hour trek. Manang is one of the biggest and wonderful valleys which are nestled between the Gongapurna and Annapurna Mountain. Tibetan mountains on its northern side, the rocky terrain and covered by the wall of Annapurna range, you can enjoy the magnificent scenic beauty of Mustang. You will be able to see the stunning view of mount Gongapurna out of your window and its glaciers and also Gongapurna Lake. It is located by the side of the Marsyangdi River. You will stay overnight in Manang.
  • DAY 7: REST DAY IN MANANG

    It will be acclimatization day in Manang. You can explore Manang to the fullest. There is a lot to see in manang. You can visit the Buddhist monasteries with delightful prayer flags. You can visit the glaciers of Gongapurna and Gongapurna Lake. You can also explore the cave of Milarepa. You will stay overnight in Manang.
  • DAY 8: TREK FROM MANANG TO KHANGSAR VILLAGE

    Trek from Manang to Khangsar village takes six-hour. The khangsar village is the picturesque and splendid village. The beautiful Tibetan cultural village and the view of the amazing Tilicho Peak can be seen here. You will stay overnight in Khangsar village.
  • DAY 9: TREK FROM KHANGSAR VILLAGE TO TILICHO BASE CAMP

    Trek from Khangsar village to Tilicho Base Camp will take five hours. Walking up and down through the trail passing the peaceful Gombas and Chhotens with delightful prayer flags you will arrive at Tilicho Base Camp while the incredible panoramic view of Tilicho peak awaits you. You will stay overnight at Tilicho Base Camp.
  • DAY 10: TREK FROM TILICHO BASE CAMP TO TILICHO LAKE

    Trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake starts early in the morning and will take five and a half hours. Tilicho Lake is the focal point of the trek. Tilicho Lake is best known as the lake which is situated in the highest altitude thus it is a very cold environment there. You will then descend from Tilicho Lake to Tilicho Base Camp and spend the night there.
  • DAY 11: TREK FROM TILICHO BASE CAMP TO NAR PHU KHARKA via MESOKANTO LA PASS

    After the six-hour trek, you will reach the Nar Phu valley passing through the Mesokanto La Pass. The view after passing the Mesokanto La Pass is fantastic. You will be taken away by the beauty of the place. On the way to the ancient valley, you will get the view of the stunning Himlung Himal and Saribung Peak. The trail itself provides the tranquility and peace while you hike up your way to the Nar Phu valley. The great hidden valley awaits you with the historical monasteries, prayer flags, and a warm welcome. You will stay overnight in Nar Phu Kharka.
  • DAY 12: TREK FROM NAR PHU KHARKHA TO JOMSOM

    The splendid miracle of Mustang, Jomsom will be six hours away from the Nar Phu Kharkha. The massive Dhaulagiri, fascinating Kaligandaki River and Nilgiri Mountain will always remind you of the days to Jomsom. You will also lead to the Kaligandaki gorge, the deepest gorge, at dana which is located between two giant mountain Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. You will have to cross the concrete bridge grom kali Gandaki to reach Jomsom which is also known as windy town. You will spend overnight in Jomsom.
  • DAY 13: FLY FROM JOMSOM TO POKHARA

    You will take the early morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara which is about 20 minute’s flight. The sight of the exquisite valley and the majestic mountain Dhaulagiri and Annapurna from the flight will take your breath away. On your arrival in Pokhara, you can rest for a while before exploring the Lake city. You can try various recreational activities in Pokhara. You will stay overnight in Pokhara.
  • DAY 14: DRIVE FROM POKHARA TO KATHMANDU

    The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara is about 7 hours. You will be taking the early morning bus from Pokhara. Another alternative to driving is the flight to Kathmandu from Pokhara. The flight is about 20 minutes. You will be then escorted to the hotel where you can take rest for the day or you can visit many places in Kathmandu. You will stay overnight in Kathmandu.
  • DAY 15: DEPARTURE

    After breakfast, our team representative will drop you to the airport for your scheduled flight time back home. Hope we will see you again.
