OVERVIEW
Muktinath trek is one of the popular and exciting treks every Nepali wants to visit once in their lifetime. It is situated in the north of Pokhara lying within a spectacular ethnic diversity at its finest. Muktinath is a religious pilgrimage specialized with Buddhism and Hinduism religion. Beautiful Muktinath lies in the Annapurna and Mustang. You will find wonderfully laid diverse landscapes, quaint villages, a fresh cascading waterfall, lush forests, and eye-catchy barren leeward side of the Himalayas resembling the Tibetan plateau. This trek is more rewarding as you will be capturing the mesmerizing scenarios of Nepal mixed with rich culture and people living here. Kali Gandaki George is one of the deepest gorges in the world where you will be passing through while trekking to Muktinath. Another major attraction is Tatopani. It is a natural hot spring where you can rest and relax to drown all your stress away. Thus, each stop during your trek will always be worthwhile and fulfilling to you.
Situated at the north of Pokhara, Muktinath trek provides you an adventurous experience along with beautiful sights that makes your journey a memorable one. You will be starting your journey through a scenic drive to Pokhara and a mesmerizing flight to Jomsom. Muktinath temple preserves its 108 sacred sprouts and the ritual of bathing in them cleansing your spirit is the main attraction of this place. You will be seeing devotees performing various other rituals in the temple. Thus, you can get a lot more cultural exposure to this destination. This is an 11 day scheduled trek where you can enjoy to your fullest and take along adventurous experiences.

ITINERARY
-
Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where our representatives will welcome you and eventually escort you to a hotel in Kathmandu. You can rest for a while then stroll around the area to explore some shops or buy souvenirs for your loved ones. -
Day 2: Flight to Pokhara (823m)
You will take off for Pokhara early morning and enjoy the wonderful aerial view of the valley as well. After you reach Pokhara, you will immediately drive to Naya Pul which takes 1 hour 20 minutes to reach. You will start your trekking journey from Naya Pul. You will be walking towards Bhurundi Khola and after that, you will ascend to lush forest and trails on the side of the cliff. You will also be crossing a suspension bridge over Modi Khola and reach Tikhedhunga (1552m) where you will have your dinner and spend your night. -
Day 3: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2750m)
You will now depart for Ghorepani. Ghorepani means Horse-water in Nepali. This village used to be an important campsite for horse traders and now it is a trekker’s stop. Thus, you will descend and cross a bridge over the Bhurundi River from there, you will ascend to Ghorepani. The trail is steep so be careful. You will have your lunch on the way. After you reach Ghorepani, you will be having your dinner and spend your night at Ghorepani. -
Day 4: Ghorepani to Tatopani (1190m)
Tatopani is also one of the famous insights all Nepalese wish to visit once in their lifetime. You will be descending to Sikha village and continue walking down till Ghar Khola village. You will cross a suspension bridge before the trail ascends Tatopani. S the meaning of the name suggests “hot water”, Tatopani is famous for its stream of hot water where you can relax and enjoy in the hot spring. -
Day 5: Tatopani to Ghasa (2110m)
You will have your breakfast early in the morning and head towards Ghasa. You will be walking along the Kali Gandaki river and cross a suspension bride. As you continue to walk, you will see a beautiful waterfall called Rupse Chhahara. You will further ascend for Ghasa which is a charming village located at the lower part of Kali Gandaki valley and is warm and green. Ghasa is popular for bird watching enthusiasts. -
Day 6: Ghasa to Marpha (2680m)
After your breakfast at the lodge, you will ascend on a steep trail through a forest to Lete Khola.eventually you reach to Lete Khola and then proceed your trek towards the east of the river and reach Larjung Village. You will also be seeing fresh apple orchards and vegetable farms. Marpha is known for its apple production. You will be spending your night at Marpha. -
Day 7: Marpha to Kagbeni (2810m)
You will climb up on a ridge and reach Jomsom valley. From there, you will turn north towards Kagbeni, up the Ali Gandaki river which is the deepest gorge in the world. You will be passing through Eklebatti village and continue towards Kagbei where you can get an amazing view of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and Tukuche mountain peaks. You will have your dinner and overnight stay at Kagbeni. -
Day 8: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710m)
On the 8th day, you will be reaching your actual destination, Muktinath. From Kagbeni, the path climbs steeply and joins the direct trail to Khingar (3200m). the rail ascends through a deserted landscape until Jarkot village. During the walk, you will have a perfect scenic view to stop by and admire. Thus, the further walk will lead you to Muktinath. -
Day 9: Trek to Jomsom (2715m)
Tou will be visiting Muktinath temple early in the morning as it has its religious values along with the intricate mixture of Hinduism and Buddhism religions. You can admire the water spouts and visit a Buddhist monastery nearby. After that, you will descent to Jomsom so that you can return to Pokhara. It will take around 5 hours to walk. You will be viewing majestic views of mount Dhaulagiri as well. In the evening you will be served a farewell dinner from our tour guides/ representatives at Jomsom. -
Day 10: Jomsom to Pokhara
You will now fly back to Pokhara and also be viewing beautiful lush landscapes and scenarios through the airplane. This is the end of your trek and you will be saying a warn goodbye filled with unforgettable experiences. After you arrive at Pokhara, you will have plenty of leisure time to do any activities. Sine, Pokhara is the city of lakes, you can go boating or lakeside for refreshment. -
Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu
The next day, you will be leaving for Kathmandu on a bus. The journey will take you along the banks with breathtaking views and terraces hills with rural Nepalese lifestyle. It will take you about 5 to 6 hours to reach Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be dropped at your hotel.
