Trip Overview

Located in the northwestern part of Nepal the Manaslu Circuit Trek is a stunning 18-day journey that treks around the world’s eighth highest mountain with the height 8,156m. More than 7,000 inhabiting( mostly Gurung Inhabitance) in seven villages will welcome you in a hospitable manner. This is a trek for someone who wants something different in Nepal but still offers the most emphatic and eye-opening scenery. Manaslu Trek is one of the dynamic treks in the Himalayan region available in Nepal.  the trek starts at Arughat known as the gateway to Budi Gandaki Valley. You will be passing through the Manaslu Conservation Area which is home to different kinds of wild-animals in the Himalayan region such as snow leopard, Himalayan Thar, and Blue Sheep. This conservation Area is conserving more than 33 species of reptile, 110 species of bird, 33 species mammals, and many more other animals. The existential part of the trek is to approach the atmosphere of Mt. Manaslu (8156m), the eighth highest mountain in the world. The trek starts from Arughat known as the gateway to Budi Gandaki Valley. The most challenging section of this trek comes up while crossing Larkya La Pass which is at the altitude of 5160m. The pass offers spectacular views of Mt. Manaslu, Annapurna, and many more. Along the pathway, you will have plenty of opportunities to interact with local people mostly the Gurung Inhabitance, and gain the opportunity to be familiar with their lifestyle. Take time out to visit Shringi Gompa, Mu, and Rachen Gompas, some of the most popular and ancient Buddhist monasteries. The trail joins the Annapurna circuit at Dharapani and drops down you to Besisahar. Manaslu Trek can be done in different duration and at different times of the year. The two best seasons for trekking in this region Spring (Mar-May) and Autumn (Sep-Nov). While trekking in this route the maximum time you spend is camping and tea-house stay. Itenerary

As you fly into Kathmandu, you'll have beautiful views over the valley. Once you freshen up our representative would let you know about the trip detail. In the evening we can visit the famous tourist hub of Thamel, it is a good place to grab your first meal, with a variety of restaurants to choose from offering both Western and local Nepali dishes.
Kathmandu has a special atmosphere during the early morning hours when the city is slowly coming to life yet not too chaotic as it is the busiest city. It's a great time to walk and explore the streets. There are incredible sights around the Kathmandu Valley. Later in the evening, head out for dinner at one home-cooked dinner with a local family.
After having breakfast we will drive west along the Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway towards the village of Soti Khola it would take around 8-10 hrs. The drive passes through rural communities, small towns, green terraces, and lush hillsides you can feel real Nepal here. The road will eventually become a rutted, dirt path and you'll start to see views of the southern slopes of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himal, etc.
After breakfast in Soti Khola, you'll begin our trek .our journey begins by crossing a bridge, before trekking through a forest, then ridge above Budi Gandaki River. We will then reach Khursane climbing the cliff. You'll eventually reach the Gurung village. From here we will head down again to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach the village of Machha Khola. we will spend our night there.
After having our breakfast in Machha Khola, we will begin our today's trek. After a long walk, we will reach Khorlabesi. After more ascending and descending, we will arrive at a small hot spring in Tatopani and take a break!then crossing the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge we will climb up a staircase we will reach for neat Gurung villages in the jungle high above, as well as Langur monkeys. Walking a little bit we will reach Jagat and spend our night there.
We will start our today's trek after breakfast in the village of Jagat. Today we will make our way through various landscapes and dense sub-tropical forests which will create a lot of memories. You'll continue walking upstream to a long suspension bridge to reach a large Gurung village. From here, our path turns north and our route now enters the grassy slopes and then crosses the Budhi Gandaki river. The trail comes across and we will reach the tiny village of Deng after crossing the Deng Khola river.
After our breakfast in Deng, we will start one of the most important and culturally significant sections of our trek. First, cross the Budhi Gandaki river and climb a bit further to join a trail from Bhi. After a long walk, we will reach a village, it has a beautiful vantage point of the snowcapped Siringi Himal. Take a break here. Keep going until we notice the forest started becoming less denser. This rewarding part of the walk is a magnificent way to experience the Manaslu Conservation Area which is a lifetime memory. You'll eventually reach the village of Namrung we will have our night stay there.
After breakfast in Namrung, we can walk around the village for a good viewpoint of Siring, Ganesh Himal, and also Mount Himal Chuli to the south. After a long walk, we will be reaching Sama Village. We can enjoy the extraordinary views of Manaslu and also explore the village where we will be surrounded by high mountains like Himal Chuli and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli) to the left, Manaslu, and large glaciers straight ahead which will be a mouth opening view. Other snowcapped peaks can be seen for e.g Ganesh Himal. Today we will stay in Samagaon.
Today we will take some relaxation. Enjoy a refreshing breakfast of the local community and then spend the day at Samagaon taking some rest. For those who want to explore, there's an optional day hike that explores some rich Sherpa culture and knows about their lifestyle and you can view the Sherpa women clad in traditional clothes and ornaments. If we want to hike up to a little hill near the Sama village, we can find an old monastery with great views of the glacier.
After breakfast in Samagaon, we will descend to the Budhi Gandaki River. We will be taken to the mountain views along this route and it amazing because we can get closer to the Tibetan border. This is an easy trek to Kermo Kharka. We will be walking until we find the village of Samdo.
Today is the day to a set aside for proper acclimatization. After breakfast, you can either rest in Samdo or choose a hiking option. Taking an easy path that passes trade pass headed for Tibet. This route has excellent views of Manaslu along with other Himalayan ranges. While walking you will find the Lophophorus (the national bird of Nepal).
After breakfast in Samdo, we will pass a seasonal Tibetan market called Larke Bazaar and descend towards the Budi Gandaki River. Along the route, you'll see many traditional monasteries. Today's shorter hike leaves time for relaxing in the afternoon.
Today you'll set out on a longer. Though it's a more challenging trail, we will encounter several villages, glacier lakes, and a wide range of flora and fauna, etc. After a short climb, we will reach a valley on the north side of the Larkya Glacier from where you can enjoy great views of Cho Danda then we will walk across moraines of the glacier. From there we can view outstanding view of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and many more Himal. We will finish our day early evening with Mount Manaslu looming in the distance. We will spend our night there.
After having our breakfast in Bimthang we will head toward a nearby place where you can enjoy great views of Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal. From here we will walk through rhododendron forest( national flower of Nepal) and reach Gho where so trekkers choose to stay the night, but we continue walking until you get to Tilije if you want to stay there we can stay.
After having breakfast in Tilije, you'll continue to cross the bridge over the Dudh Khola(color of the waterlike milk). Further down, cross a bridge over the Marshyangdi Khola River we will reach a village of Tal, situated at the foot of a large waterfall. This is a more commercialized area with lots of teahouses and trekkers we will spend our night here.
After breakfast in Tal, our trek starts toward Syange following the to the village of Chyamje crossing the beautiful Marsyangdi Khola. The pass passes through the descends picturesque rhododendron and pine forests. Then we will get to the village of Syange where you'll stay the night.
Wake up with breakfast in Syange. The drive from Kathmandu via Besi Sahar offers an opportunity to enjoy both hill and mountain landscapes. We also are driven to some beautiful villages.
Time to say bye to Nepal. Enjoy your last moments in Kathmandu with breakfast. Our representative will meet you at your hotel and drive you to the airport for your return flight home but don’t forget us.
