Trip Overview

Swargadwari is a hilltop temple situated in Pyuthan District, Nepal. The place preserves the essence of cows in the Hindu religion. Mostly, the people of Nepal and India visit this pilgrimage site. Swargadwari is also popular for trekking. It takes around 8 hours drive from Ghorahi, Dang.

It is situated on the top of the hill, surrounded by pine forest. There are ample Rhododendron trees on the way and in Swargadwari itself.

This trip takes you to the southern part of Pyuthan district. The scenic road trip will amaze you as you will explore the beauty of nature throughout the trip. It is believed that Bivut (ash) of the firewoods burnt by the holy fire (in the past) in Swargadwari cures different physical disorders like headache and stomach ache.

Itenerary

Day 01 Arrival at Kathmandu /Nepalgunj

Day 01 starts with arrival in Kathmandu. You’ll be transferred to hotel where you can change and get ready. You can discover the local taste where your palate can feel the burst of flavors. You can roam around the streets and explore the practices here. You will be travelling through the airway if your trip starts from Kathmandu. Kathmandu to KEP(Nepalgunj) flight takes you to Nepalgunj (50 mins flight) and you will be soon transferred in a private car. Overnight will be in Nepalgunj hotel. Accommodation on sharing basis.

Day 02 Drive to Swargadwari

The distance from Nepalgunj to Dang (Ghorahi) .is 178 Km by road. The drive is towards the western part of Nepal. The trip in a private car with a scenic exhilarating view will refresh your mind. We can get off at Dang, spend some time there and dart towards Swargadwari. Swargadwari is the main visit point of this trip. We will worship there and get back to Dang. Overnight at Dang.

Day 03 Dang to Kathmandu / Nepalgunj

The day starts with a hearty breakfast In the hotel. We have to get back to Nepalgunj. So, we’ll start our journey in a private car. You can enjoy the beautiful view in the overland drive throughout the trip. We’ll have lunch at Nepalgunj . You can visit some major attractions and we ‘ll get back to Kathmandu by flight. ( KEP to KTM). Or You can stay overnight at Nepalgunj as per the discussion with the tour planner. You can return to Kathmandu on day 04.

Day 04 Departure

This calls for the conclusion of the trip. You can just have your breakfast and get ready for the departure from Kathmandu.
