Trekking Highlights:
Manaslu Round Trek is adventurous experience and it is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating circumnavigating Peak 29 (7,871m) Himal-Chuli (7,893m) and Boudha (6,672m). The trek of this region contains strong Tibetan influence. This epic trip circumnavigates the entire massif with an insight into the cultures of ethnic Nepalese tribes and peoples of both Hinduism, Buddhism religion, but mountaineering expeditions have had long access to the area.
The very short overview of this trip is, we cross the Larkya- La (5,160m) high and descend to the Marshyangdi River after trek down to Besisahar from where we will drive back to Kathmandu.
Trek in Manaslu is quite challenging trekking, Manaslu at 8163 metres (26783 feet) is the eighth tallest mountain in the World. This is located in close to the border with Tibet, that is some 100 km (62 miles) northwest of Kathmandu, the valleys to the north and east of Manaslu were a restricted area until the early nineties century. Till now, it is a restricted area and there are certain formalities required by the government of Nepal in obtaining a special permit.
The quiet trails and simple villages, together with the stunning scenery around Manaslu make this one of the classic yet unspool trekking advenutres in the Himalaya. Travelling via Gorkha on the south of Manaslu. Manaslu Circuit Trek will start from the Arughat, Dhading, the lush green lower land and then passing through many villages inhabitant by various ethnic groups along the Buri Gandaki River. The trail goes behind the Mt.Mansalu and Himculi to cross Larkya La pass (5,213 m) and Rupina La (14,450'). Here, the valley starts to open out, and there are remarkable panoramas of the peaks on the Nepal-Tibet border, as well as those of the Manaslu group. The principal peaks that we will see on this first part of our trek are Himal Chuli, Manaslu, Cheo Himal and Himlung Himal. Beyond the Larkya La, we drop down into the heavily forested valley of the Marsyangdi River, where we are now trekking beneath the giants of the Annapurna range, following the river down to a meeting with the road head.
