Introduction:
Tsum Valley, a grand new Himalayan destination in the far-flung corners of Nepal North Mid-West within Gorkha district enclosed behind massive peaks of Ganesh Himal and Manaslu Himal, which falls on ancient Salt Caravan Trade of Nepal to Tibet border.
Tsum Valley trekking will certainly delight visitors where one can soak into beautiful scenery of high mountains, deep valley and green rolling hills in the close harmony of native Tsum villagers enriched with strong Buddhist religion and heritage.
The word Tsum comes from old Tibetan languages known as "Beyul Kyimolung” which translates Valley of Happiness, truly a marvelous location away from the outside world for hundreds of centuries till it was opened and exposed last few decades, where travelers can now have the opportunity to venture in this Valley of Happiness around Tsum.
Tsum Valley Trekking begins with scenic and exciting drive towards lower warmer mid hills valley of Gorkha district at Arughat town and further towards Soti-Khola, where our adventure starts towards Himalayan Shangri-La of Tsum Valley.
As walk leads from low sub-tropical climate to reach higher hills of cooler alpine temperatures entering into nice woodland and lovely villages of Jagat-Philip where our route diverts from the main Manaslu trekking trail heading east direction at Tsum Valley.
At Tsum Valley with time to explore its hidden treasures of beautiful scenery and traditional custom rooted with Tibetan Buddhism cultures visiting its impressive monasteries at Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa within the highest spot of the adventure, and then heading back to road-head at Soti-Khola for the interesting overland journey to Kathmandu.
On reaching Kathmandu where our marvelous cultural and scenic adventure of lifetime experience completes enjoying fabulous moments on Tsum Valley Trekking.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing, world heritage site.
Day 03: Drive to Soti-Khola 700 m via Arughat - 06 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Machhe-Khola 869 m - 05 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Jagat 1,340 m- 06 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Lokpa 2,240 m - 06 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Chokan-Paro 3,031 m- 05 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Nyle 3,347 m - 05 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Mu Gompa 3,700 m /12,139 ft - 04 hrs.
Day 10: Rest Day at Mu Gompa to explore around.
Day 11: Trek to Rachen-Gumpa 3,240 m - 05 hrs.
Day 12: Trek to Chumling 2,386 m- 05hrs.
Day 13: Trek to Philim 1,590 m - 07 hrs.
Day 14: Trek to Tatopani (Hot Spring) - 06 hours.
Day 15: Trek to Soti-Khola 730 m - 06 hours.
Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel - 06 hrs.
Day 17: Depart Nepal for international flight home-ward bound.
Itenerary
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by staff and guide with warm welcome then transfer to your hotel in centre of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed in your rooms join for group briefing regarding your stay in Nepal, where guides will provide information about the trek-local lodge-hotels-culture and other necessary information related to this trekking.
In Kathmandu, a free day preparation for Tsum Valley trekking with an optional sightseeing tour around Kathmandu, as Kathmandu valley and surrounding cities of Patan and Bhaktapur steeped with world heritage sites of important monuments and religious-historical places of great interest.Tsum Valley trekking adventure begins with an early morning drive to reach Nepal Mid-West around Gorkha district at Arughat town, and beyond to reach at first overnight stop in Soti-Khola by raging Buri-Gandaki River, where drive leads past many interesting villages and towns with views of Manaslu-Ganesh and Langtang Himal.With FIA first overnight stop at Soti-Khola morning and first day walk begins following a nice trails on the foothills along river valley walking on the bank of Buri-Gandaki River leading upstream to enter a gorge covered with forest, where route climb towards cooler areas walking for nearly four to five hours to reach our overnight stop at Machha-Khola. A moderate size farm village, as Maccha means Fish and Khola for the stream, popular fishing streams for the locals.From Maccha-Khola fishing village, morning walk on Buri-Gandaki River upstream banks for some hours to reach at Khola-Besi and then on the winding path towards Tatopani a village with natural “Hot Spring,” as Tatopani means hot water/spring. Here time permitting to enjoy refreshing warm bathe and then continue walk to with climb to Jagat village for over a right stop, Jagat a lovely and large village with many shops and well stocked stores, having nice and simple lodges for over the night stay.After a wonderful overnight stop at Jagat village, walk cont inues heading higher past rural farm villages and on downhill the to cross a bridge to Nagjet and then reaching at Philim, one of the large village within this remote farm country with many scattered houses. From Philim walk leads around farm terraces of golden agriculture fields of wheat, barley, as climb leads above rocky ridge within a forest of bamboo to reach at Dyan village, enjoying refreshing stop the heading higher to reach a rocky ridge covered with bamboo forest at Eklai Bhatti, from here our route divert toward North East to reach at Lokpa for overnight stop in this small village of Tibetan culture and way of life.From here onward enter the new fresh country and away from main trekking trails of Manaslu as walk leads towards Tsum in the valley of happiness. Walk further past farm lands and smaller villages facing views of Ganesh and Manaslu Himal, as walk ends on reaching a nice village at Chumling for overnight halt.From here onward walk leads within Tsum valley, as morning lead towards highest areas to Nyle village around open and exposed wide valley, a dramatic dry and windswept terrain with similar landscapes like Tibet plateau. Entering into a country where tree lines fades for short juniper and willow trees, as the journey continues overlooking views of Ganesh and Manaslu Himal range of peaks. Finally completing our day-walk reaching at Nyle village where you can explore a meditation cave of great Buddhist saint ‘Guru Milereppa’ of the 11th century, he was a poet, singer and a high tantric guru where his folk stories and words of wisdom with songs are still remembered by Tibetans and followers of Milereppa.Short walk today to reach at Mu Gompa, a place with an old impressive monastery, walk leads to a climb within high, dry exposed terrain with views of high peaks then slowly walk ends on reaching at Mu Gompa for an overnight stop.A complete rest day where you can enjoy walk and explore around, where only few a trekkers often visit this forgotten beautiful areas of Tsum Valley, observe its traditional village with imprthe essive ancient monastery of Mu Gompa, enriched with treasures of antique idols, statue and religious relics.After an interesting and exciting moment around high Tsum valley, walk heads to visit Rachen Gumpa, as walk follows on gradual trail with short few ups and downs with pa anorama of snow capped peaks, heading into yak grazing summer pasture to reach at Rachen Gompa and its moderate size village for oan vernight stop.Return journey with marvelous time around high Tsum valley, where walk leads towards lower areas to Chumling where our route gets back into tall tree lines within green vegetation at Chumling village, for last and final overnight in Tsum Valley area.From Chumling village, morning walk downhill fthe ollowing river downstream with views of waterfalls then reaching villages of Samba, Tingding Chhupyang till our walk ends at Philim village for an overnight stop. This is a nice farm village with school supported by Japanese (as Mt. Manaslu was first climbed by Japanese so this area is a favorite among Japanese).From Philim entering into wathe rmer area within paddy fields, after breakfast walk leads to Tatopani as rothe ute follows Buri Gandaki River past many small villages of Nagjet, Sidibas Bazaar and Jagat. Walk further descends at Yaruphant, then to lothe wer area with dra amatic change in vegetation, finally ending six hours walk to our overnight stop at Tatopani a small farm village with hot spring as Tatopani in Nepali means 'hot water', afternoon enjoy the hot springs and relax. The local believes that the spring water have a natural power to cure various disease and wounds.After a pleasant stop at Tatopani with hot spring, morning walk leads to Soti Khola walk along Budhi Gandaki River on downstream, after hours of good walk reaching at Gurung village of Labubesi, from here heading further within terraced fields and waterfalls to reach our last overnight stop at Soti-khola.With memorable times in the high mountains and valley of Tsum within Nepal North Mid-West areas, where morning drive leads back to Kathmandu on an interesting hilly road with exciting time as drive leads past many nice farm villages and towns with views of mountains after six hours journey reaching in Kathmandu, and then transfer to your respective hotels.Last day in the country of Himalayan wonders, after an amazing experience and wonderful adventure on Tsum Valley trekking with great service and then depart from the hotel as per your flight time our staff transfers you to Kathmandu international airport for your home-ward flight or to next respective countries.

Here’s a complete rundown of what to bring if you’re planning a trek to Everest Base Camp or any other tea-house trek in Nepal. Proper preparation and equipment for the conditions will go a long way to ensuring you have a great trekking experience.
